Just ten minutes walk away from the main town of Balik Pulau with one of the best laksa and durians (seasonal), Balik Pulau BookLodge B&B provides a cosy reading environment with a vast selection of books from our little library. Regular monthly Literature talks, D.I.Y.workshops are also organised for our guests. Do stay tune for our activities schedule for registration!

Too bored? Fret not! We also provide bike rental services with a cycling trail map to explore the neighboring Malay village (“Kampung” in Malay) with vegetable plantations, chicken farms, padi fields, coconut grove and a river!

In addition, guests can visit beautiful beaches, bird, mangrove and magnificence sunset watching at Sungai Burong and enjoy seafood lunch and dinner in Pulau Betong. The Pasir Panjang Beach is another place to visit for its clean sandy beach and sunset.

For the nature lovers, you can take a boat to Penang Forest Reserve at Teluk Bahang (the jetty is 15 mins drive from our B&B) and hike up to Monkey Beach.

Tour packages can also be arranged with our friendly concierge to enjoy durian tasting, nature exploring and even a traditional herbal sauna.
