Positive Reviews

The Best of Positions

Regina was found to be in a prime location very near the top of Las Ramblas, with Café Zurich round the corner for people-watching. Transport links, including those to El Prat airport are very close. A couple who visited Barcelona previously found it excellent value for money. The luggage storage facility was much appreciated.

Quality Staff

Both on reception, at the door, and in the bar staff are helpful and friendly, and room cleaning is carried out efficiently. Breakfast is plentiful.

Rooms are equipped with a very comfortable bed, and a powerful hot shower. The Wi-Fi works well. The quality of the rooms and the little extras in the bathroom are good. A couple who stayed with teenage children in a family room loved it.

Negative Reviews

Unusual for Spain

Some of the breakfast staff, especially the older ones, seemed to be unfriendly to young children, making a child nervous. This may have been because the breakfast room is a bit small, so gets very crowded, and the staff struggle at times.

Noises Off and Under

There were a number of guests who found the rooms extremely noisy, with sounds from other rooms, cleaners in the morning, and doors slamming. A city view with a double bed was booked but not provided. It was evident that the Metro was below! A “Queen” bed was two singles pushed against each other which moved apart as they were on wheels on a hard floor. Guests complains that there was not much natural light in the room.

Too Warm or Too Difficult?

Guests was disappointed to find not enough English TV channels, others disliked the decorations, and found the elevator inadequate. Perhaps the reviewer who said that there is no air conditioning found the room controls too difficult?.
