Positive Reviews

Excellent dining

Guests consistently rate the standard of dining here highly, with many specifically commenting on how delicious the breakfast is. Those who ate lunch or dinner at the Craven Heifer Inn were also impressed. Guests like the locally-sourced aspect of the food and also appreciate the changing specials board.

Friendly and welcoming staff

The staff at this country inn attract plenty of praise from guests. A warm welcome and friendly service seem to be part of the deal here. Guests report that they felt at home and found the staff efficient and eager to help.

Comfortable rooms

The rooms at the Craven Heifer Inn are found to be of a good standard, although those in the annexe are more modern than those above the pub/restaurant. The rooms are frequently described as clean and comfy with a decent choice of amenities.

Negative Reviews

Some noise problems

Guests who stayed in rooms in the main building mention that they were able to hear a lot of traffic noise. The problem is made worse by the fact there is no air-conditioning so you'll probably want to have your window open.

Limited area information available

Although guests find the location of the inn convenient and easy to find, some point out that a welcome pack with area information would be a bonus. The staff is, of course, happy to help but some guests would have preferred to look at printed material.

Occasional issues

Reviews of this property suggests that there is little else to worry about here. Any concerns beyond the traffic noise typically relate to minor and one-off issues that certainly don't affect all guests.
