Stunning views.

A number of guests comment on the stunning views across the Welsh landscape, including Snowdonia. Guests comment that some rooms do not have views, but that views from the lounge area make up for this.

Genuinely friendly and helpful staff.

Whilst some guests complain about particular staff members, the general feeling seems to be staff are genuine, polite and helpful. Guests comment that staff seem interested in their guests, offering solutions and advice wherever possible or necessary.

Good food and drink.

Guests comment on the range of food and drink available, adding that the café is excellent and contributes to the hotel massively. Food seems to be a of a good quality, with breakfast being praised in particular.

Negative Reviews

Some areas in need of renovation and redecorating.

A number of reviews mention that certain areas of the hotel are very much in need of renovation. Guests report tired and threadbare carpets and walls in need of a paint job. Recent reviews do indicate that renovations are being carried out continually.

Lots of noise throughout the night.

The hotel reportedly has old sash windows in the bedrooms, which seem to rattle on windy nights, causing a great deal of noise. Seagulls also seem to disturb guests in the early hours of the morning, and a number of guests comment on noise from the pipes

Showers almost impossible to use.

A few guests complain that showers are almost impossible to use, with temperature control very difficult to manage. Shower pressure is also apparently weak.
