About L' Hôtel Particulier

L'Hôtel Particulier is a 19th-century town house in the very heart of beautiful Bordeaux. A tram stop is conveniently located outside the hotel and Gare Saint-Jean is a 20-minute tram journey.

The rooms are classically-styled with a modern twist and feature high ceilings and magnificent windows. Mod cons include an en-suite bathroom, a flat screen television, minibar and tea/coffee making facilities. Apartments with a kitchen are also available.

L'Hôtel Particulier’s central courtyard garden is the perfect place to enjoy a drink and the on-site gift shop offers the opportunity to purchase presents and local wines.

A continental breakfast, served in the dining-room, consists of bread and fruit among other items. A nine-minute walk from the hotel, Bistrot L’Exploit is a highly-rated traditional French restaurant.

Bordeaux Cathedral is nearby and the magnificent square Place de la Bourse is a 10-minute walk - the delightful Miroir d’eau can also be seen here.

Positive Reviews

Great location

If you are looking for a centrally located hotel in Bordeaux, then you'll find L'Hôtel Particulier an ideal choice. Bordeaux Cathedral is a short walk away and popular sights such as the Place de la Bourse and the Grand Theatre are easily reached on foot. Guests also like the transport links - a tram stop is located outside the hotel which makes sight-seeing very straightforward.

Charming hotel building

According to feedback, guests love the architecture and character of L'Hôtel Particulier. Lovely wooden floors, stunning windows and attractive high ceilings all evoke a bygone era. The rooms offer comfortable accommodation with plenty of mod cons and the central courtyard garden is an idyllic setting to spend time relaxing.

Excellent members of staff

Guests who have stayed at L'Hôtel Particulier report that they received excellent service from the member of staff here. They are always ready to answer any questions, recommend restaurants and tourist attractions and make bookings. Also, whenever issues arise, they do their best to remedy the situation in a quick and effective manner.

Negative Reviews

Breakfast slightly disappointing

It seems that breakfast is a little disappointing for some. There is a feeling that the price charged is too expensive for what is offered and even though the food itself is good quality, some guests preferred to eat a more cost-effective breakfast in a nearby café.

Noise from the nearby tram

Although the close proximity of the tram is highly convenient in terms of travelling around Bordeaux, the downside is the noise it creates until the early hours of the morning. Some guests were disturbed by the noise and felt that the rooms that face the interior garden courtyard might be quieter.
