Positive Reviews

Super downtown location

The most incredible feature of this hostel for its guests is its fantastic location in central Cairo. Not only is the accommodation close to a wealth of shops and restaurants, all the main sights are nearby, including the Egyptian Museum just a short walk away. For anything further afield, and to access Giza and the pyramids or the airport, there is a Metro station in the vicinity. The railway and bus stations are also easy to reach by foot.

Excellent value accommodation

Guests heartily recommend this hostel for anyone looking for a decent and clean place to stay. Travellers need not feel wary as the place feels quite safe overall with good security. The beds are reasonably comfortable too with nice showers and surprisingly good Wi-Fi.

Very friendly staff

The most reassuring part of their stay for many guests is the attitude of the staff. From the driver who picks them up from the airport to the reception staff and management, everyone seems to genuinely do all they can to ensure that they feel welcome and at home. They greet travellers with a smile and help them plan their stay and generally do all they can to take care of them.

Negative Reviews

Not so big breakfast

Do not expect a great deal for breakfast. Guests say it is quite simple overall – bread and jam and a cup of coffee – and can get quite repetitive.

Be careful of surcharges

Guests report being overcharged for certain transactions, including currency exchange and booking of tours. There are also instances of travellers being double charged, or made to pay more than they were expecting, for their room or to use certain facilities.
