Positive Reviews

Cosy Space

Overall, guests were left with a positive impression of the B&B after their stay. The rooms, although described as small by some, were also found to be comfortable and cosy. Guests appreciated that the rooms were equipped with proper coffee and tea-making facilities with mugs and real brewed coffee.

Steps from the City

Guests were very happy to be located so close to the city, adding that the central historic part of the Chester is only a few-minutes walk away. Guests said that many restaurants and bars, as well as most of the city's attractions, can be easily reached on foot. Travellers arriving by railway also appreciated the B&B's convenient location near the Chester Station.

Taste of Home

Guests were very impressed with the breakfast, and appreciated that even the continental option includes the addition of hot items like scrambled eggs. The full English comes highly recommended too, and many guests think it's worth the upgrade.

Negative Reviews

Thin Walls

Noise has been a common reported problem, based on recent reviews. Guests complained about things such as loud plumbing, passing traffic, and the occasional inconsiderate neighbour.

Limited Reception

Many guests didn't appreciate that the hotel staff were often not onsite, especially during check-in hours. According to guests, you'll likely have to call the owners upon arrival to be directed on how to access your room. Apparently some people had trouble with this and required help from other guests.

Bad Dining Room Design

While the breakfast received many compliments, the dining area did not. Most guests found it very cramped and crowded, and often with no available seating. Guests also commented about how it was hard to access the continental buffet due to the inconvenient placement of the guest tables.
