Positive Reviews

The Staff Are Very Responsive and Welcoming

Guests frequently said that the staff members they encountered seemed genuinely eager to provide help and be available. Even when guests experienced minor problems, the employees were always quite apologetic and resolved issues thoroughly.

Ample Breakfast Options

Although guests usually agreed the breakfast offerings here were pretty standard, they appreciated how there was a wide selection of things to eat. Furthermore, they said everything was well-presented and delicious, which helped their days get off to good starts.

Situated in the New Town District

This property is on a quiet side street in the New Town District, which offers easy access to shops and restaurant. Getting to the city centre on foot should take about 20 minutes, and guests mentioned you'll have to deal with a steep incline. However, the area is conveniently served by buses, too.

Negative Reviews

The Beds Need Replacing

There were numerous complaints about the beds and how they were extremely worn. Although some guests just found their mattresses to be uncomfortable, others noted that their bed frames had broken sections, too.

Various Minor Cleanliness Shortcomings

Some guests arrived to find that their rooms had unclean areas or leftover rubbish. Others were given towels or bed sheets that had stains. There were also occasional comments about how the beds were not always made daily, and that towels were not replenished each day.

The Bathrooms Need Upgrades and Attention

From time to time, remarked the bathrooms looked very dingy and had cosmetic issues such as discoloured grout. However, shower heads that leaked or had issues with an intermittent flow seemed to be more prominent as far as bathroom-related problems guests encountered.
