Positive Reviews

Comfortable and well-designed suites.

Those who stayed at Edinburgh City Suites said they found them to be spacious, generally clean, comfortable and well-designed, and those who had full kitchens were happy to be able to prepare food at their leisure. Overall, the suites were thought to be good value for an Edinburgh group stay.

Welcoming staff on reception.

Reviews say that the staff on reception is particularly welcoming and friendly, and guests appreciated being able to easily access their apartments electronically. However, a small handful of people did mention less than responsive service when issues which came up during their stay.

Explore Edinburgh by foot, or the train.

Guests loved the location, considering they could jump onto the train at Haymarket and quickly zip into the city centre, or take a short ride to Edinburgh Zoo. On the other hand, they had plenty of possibilities to simply stroll with lots of bars and restaurants nearby, and both Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle found within walking distance.

Negative Reviews

Parking can be far away.

A small number of Edinburgh City Suites were unhappy to find that possibilities for parking were a fair way away, and on top of this they did not know where exactly they could find a parking spot.

Nighttime noise to consider.

The location can reportedly be noisy at night time, especially with the police station just outside. On top of this, guests also reported hearing other guests during their stay, so perhaps pack the earplugs.

Some have kitchenettes, broken fittings.

There were occasional reports of some suite fittings and facilities needing maintenance work, and furthermore, guests were also sometimes disappointed to find some suites did not have fully-equipped kitchens, but instead kitchenettes. On the latter point, just keep in mind there are two types of suites bookable.
