Facilities include a 24-hour front desk, concierge services, meeting and conference space, and coin-op laundry. Parking is available for a fee. The Residence Inn Louisville Downtown offers a free breakfast and complimentary social nights (Monday to Wednesday). There’s a convenience store on-site, as well as a free grocery shopping service. Guests can visit the Muhammad Ali Center or take a trip on the Belle of Louisville, both within a mile of the hotel. Churchill Downs, home of the famous Kentucky Derby, is a 15-minute drive from the property.

Although a handful of guests mention that they wouldn’t want to walk around the area at night, most have loved the location of the Residence Inn Louisville Downtown, frequently commented on how they were able to walk to pretty much everything - from tourist attractions to dining spots.
Previous guests have been impressed with the standard of the accommodation here, finding the studios and suites clean and spacious. The accommodation is also said to be well appointed. Guests have particularly appreciated the full kitchens.
While some guests felt breakfast finished a little early, the majority have enjoyed this freebie regardless. There appears to be a good choice of food available and the staff is said to do a good job keeping the dining area organized and nicely presented. Guests have also enjoyed the weeknight socials.
The accommodation here is consistently found to be clean upon arrival but guests do occasionally note that their studio or suite was not serviced during their stay.
Although nicely appointed, there does appear to be some maintenance issues in some of the studios and suites here. Guests have noted damage from pets, poorly performing fridges, and plumbing problems, the latter leading guests to have to shower in another room.
Guests have appreciated being able to stay with their pets but do note that they found the pet fee a little excessive. Unfortunately, it is a non-refundable charge so even if your pet does no damage, you will still need to pay the extra fee.
