Spacious and well-equipped rooms.

The rooms have been described as being on the large side with guests stating that they had plenty of space to move around as well as stow away all their belongings. Many were pleased to find that they had all the necessary mod-cons in their rooms such as fridges and microwaves which allowed guests to store and prepare their own food.

Picturesque and convenient setting.

Guests were pleased to find that they were within walking distance of numerous local amenities including bars and cafes which they found particularly convenient considering there is no restaurant on the premises. The hotel has direct access to the river and lots of scenic nature trails which suited many guests who chose to spend their time exploring the local countryside.

Lots of places to relax and unwind.

The hotel lobby was described as a pleasant and comfortable place where guests could relax with their daily paper in front of the cozy open-fire. Many relished the opportunity of being able to have a soak in the hot-tub after a day of sight-seeing or unwind on the poolside loungers.

Negative Reviews

Slow Wi-Fi.

Guests who wanted to use the internet in their rooms were disappointed to find that the Wi-Fi signal was very weak and intermittent which meant that many had to log on several times.

Cleanliness issues.

Unclean sheets, cobwebs and debris on the carpets were just some of the objections raised by the guests who said that the rooms were not thoroughly cleaned by the housekeeping staff.

Unimpressive breakfasts.

The continental breakfasts were described as lacking variety with quite a few guests stating that they would have preferred to have more hot items available such as eggs and bacon. Some also objected to the lack of healthy food such as fresh fruit.
