Positive Reviews

Suburban roadside location was handy

With several dining options in the vicinity, including authentic street food stalls, guests found this hotel’s position fairly handy. Drivers said it was easily accessible from key local roads and they welcomed that there were petrol stations nearby. They also appreciated the free parking. The location in Johor Bahru’s inner suburbs also made it easy for motorists to reach Singapore border crossings, theme parks, golf courses and airports.

Friendly service

Reviewers frequently spoke highly of the good customer care and warm welcome afforded to them by the friendly, helpful and efficient personnel.

Lavishly decorated rooms and good shared amenities

The spacious suites with separate living rooms appealed to many travellers, as did the lavish décor that gave the property a grand and palatial feel. Amenities like the flat-screen TVs and microwaves also won praise. Guests further admired the pleasant city views from many rooms, adding that the suites were clean and comfortable. Moreover, the inviting shaded rooftop swimming pool and adjoining terrace proved to be among the most popular shared facilities.

Negative Reviews

Sometimes the Wi-Fi was a letdown

From time to time, reviewers reported problems using the free Wi-Fi network in certain rooms. These included underwhelming speeds and patchy coverage.

Suites attracted some criticism

The lavish décor wasn’t to all reviewers’ taste, and some described it as gaudy. Meanwhile, those staying in the multi-bedroom suites sometimes wished there had been more than just one bathroom provided for them to use. In addition, there were claims that electrical sockets in the rooms were too few in number for travellers with lots of devices to recharge.

Location best suited drivers

The location left a few non-drivers out on a limb because public transport options nearby were limited and access to most attractions and sights required a car journey.
