Positive Reviews

Most accommodations well-placed.

The majority of guests find their accommodations to be well-placed in terms of exploring Key West. The properties located on Duval Street and Olivia Street are at the heart of the island's entertainment district, while An Island Oasis (on South Street) is just seconds from the Southernmost Point.

Courtyard and pool prove popular.

Several of the properties feature a courtyard with an outdoor pool. Guests staying in these properties enjoy being able to take a refreshing dip or simply lazing by the pool.

Pleasant staff offers warm welcome.

Barring a few reports to the contrary, most guests find employees to be pleasant and helpful. In particular, guests staying in the Wicker Guesthouse, which serves as a B&B-style property, tend to be fond of their hosts.

Negative Reviews

Check-in process can be frustrating.

Guests are required to check-in at the main property on Duval Street, even if they're booked to stay at one of the other locations. This potentially means a frustrating and awkward journey between properties, something that is very unpopular with those staying at An Island Oasis, located some seven blocks away, and Colors on White, more than half a mile away.

Dirty and rundown rooms.

According to reports, some of the properties feature dirty and rundown rooms. Guests have complained about a number of issues, including rotten window frames, mouldy bathrooms, faulty air conditioning, aging beds and cleanliness concerns. Meanwhile, rooms are said to be small and cramped.

Parking issues lead to complaints.

Limited parking arrangements have led to complaints from past guests. According to reports, guests that manage to secure a parking spot are required to leave their keys with a member of staff in order that their vehicle can be moved to allow others in and out. Additionally, guests staying in the Colors on White property are offered no free parking.
