Positive Reviews

Unbeatable location

In the heart of the city, and the Sunday market right on your doorstep, you will find you have just about everything you need within a short walk. Guests loved the fact that they could walk to many of the popular attractions such as Signal Hill Observatory and the Atkinson Clock Tower.

Elegant and classy

Although you will find a wonderfully relaxed vibe at this hotel, guests said they could feel the professional touches throughout the property. The beautiful baby grand piano in the Colonial-style lobby was an awesome sight as you arrive to check in, and even the hallways and rooms received the same British-Colonial theme throughout.

Attention to detail

The friendly and helpful staff are always around to look after their guests, and most visitors said they could tell that they pride themselves on creating a great experience for each and every one of their visitors. You will be offered an abundance of information regarding the local surroundings, and tips on where to find a great restaurant.

Negative Reviews

Old facilities

A number of visitors noticed some of the decor in the rooms was looking a little tired, the curtains were rather dusty, and some of the light bulbs were not functioning. Although furniture was considered to be elegant, guests felt an update could only improve the set up.

Wi-Fi not effective

Wi-Fi is supposed to be available free of charge in all areas according to the web site, however guests have said it's sporadic, and the signal is really weak, making working uninterrupted virtually impossible.

Good food, too pricey

Although the food in the on-site restaurant is well presented, and served hot and fresh, many visitors felt the price was just too steep. Luckily there are several other choices within walking distance from the hotel.
