Positive Reviews

Charming accommodation.

51 Kensington Court offers what many London hotels are unable to- adequate space and kitchen facilities. Combine this with apartments brimming with character, including period furniture and bay windows, and you have a recipe for great value and happy customers.

Quiet and convenient.

This hotel is tucked off of Kensington High Street, providing a relaxed, neighbourhood feel, but still close enough to things like grocery stores and transportation. Guests stocked up their kitchens after visiting the Whole Foods next door, and found Kensington High Street tube station to be just two blocks away. Some were even happy to give their walking shoes a try to places as far away as The British Museum, about an hour away on foot.

Friendly faces.

Hotel reception staff were found to be welcoming when guests arrived for their stay. A number of guests expressed how they were assisted with information about the local area, and felt front desk staff contributed to a great visit.

Negative Reviews

Inconvenient reception hours.

Front desk staff are only available during daytime hours to answer questions or check guests into rooms. Some discovered ths inconvenience after checking out late and trying to store luggage.

Micro bathroom.

Many guests complained of miniature bathrooms that provided little comfortable space for showering. Being unable to bend over in the shower, or hitting their legs on a wall or door was a common complaint with guests. If you have visions of ample storage space and shelves to put toiletries on in the bathroom, you may want to reconsider.

Room conditions vary.

While some apartments were found to be a delight, others seemed to be in need of refurbishment. Guests felt that a refresh of worn interiors would have gone a long way in convincing them to return. Similarly, some showers reportedly had inferior plumbing and draining, while others were of an acceptable standard.
