Positive Reviews

Truly, central London!

Thankfully, it’s a quiet setting – yet, in a totally central London location. There are supermarkets and places to eat – more or less just outside the door. Breakfast? There’s a cafe just a few minutes’ walk away. Bayswater Underground Station is also nearby. It only takes 10 minutes to actually walk to Kensington Gardens!

More than adequate accommodation.

There’s a large room with en-suite bathroom. Add to this a sitting area with cable TV … and a kitchen with refrigerator, oven and stove. It really fits the bill very well.

Nice little extras.

When totting up the pros and cons of staying here, it’s worth noting that there’s plenty of hot water and lots of freshly laundered towels. Other establishments don't always include these items.

Negative Reviews

Next stop; Heaven.

There are quite a few floors here - no lift – and many stairs,( up to approximately 100) to climb to get to the apartment. These stairs aren’t clean either, so the higher you go, the more the enthusiasm drains. Dragging luggage up those wretched stairs does not get the stay off to a flying start. Once inside, those horrible backyard views just add to feelings of despondency. Try to get an apartment with street views.

The knives are out!

Yes, they supply some essentials ... but there’s just one fork, one knife and one spoon. No good if there are two or more staying.

Lighten up.

Lower rooms are dark and dingy with the added ‘turn off’ of bars to the windows. Stairs can be a problem to accommodation units at higher levels but, at least these get daylight. All in all, the climb is worth the effort for most people.  There seems to be no sound insulation so noise can be a problem.
