Within walking distance of the Haram

Travellers who don't mind a bit of hike find the hotel serves well as a base for visiting the Masjid al-Haram and its surrounding sacred sites. The walk takes about 15 minutes, though the route is described as ill-suited to elderly travellers and little ones.

Small, poorly maintained rooms

The guest rooms are widely described as small, basic, and in generally poor condition, particularly the bathrooms. Travellers frequently report general maintenance concerns such as broken locks, and various cleanliness issues including poorly laundered linens, insects, and the lack of daily housekeeping services. Guests are also annoyed to find there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms, though the service is available on the lobby level.

A little hard to find

Guests comment that the hotel is located on a narrow side street with an unpleasant odour. The exterior signage is very discreet as well, and travellers regularly turn up at another nearby hotel owned by the same company because the names are so similar. Moreover, guests who manage to find the right building express difficulty getting to their rooms due to a temperamental lift.

An unpleasant reception

With the exception of a few pleasant, hardworking individuals, the reception staff are not described as friendly or accommodating. Guests have also been taken aback by their insistence on payment in cash.
