Positive Reviews

Ideal location for Pentai Hospital

Guest visiting patients in Pentai Hospital, or who needed to be there for other reasons, liked the location of the hotel, saying it was conveniently close to the hospital.

Very low room rates

Though opinions on value for money were mixed, all guests agreed that the room rates here were very low. Guests seemed to agree that if all one needed as a cheap place to get a night’s rest in the area, this may be a decent option.

Friendly staff

Guests felt that they were treated well by the hotel’s staff, who were described as very helpful and friendly.

Negative Reviews

Very far from the centre of the city

This hotel is not in or near the historic heart of Malacca. Guests whose main reason for visiting the area was to experience the history and attractions of the city were disappointed. They said that they were much too far away to walk and that the hotel was not really suitable for this purpose.

Must be able to climb stairs

Considering that the hotel is often used by people headed to the nearby hospital, guests didn’t seem impressed that one needed to climb at least one flight of stairs to get to the rooms. There is no lift in the building and it isn’t suitable for people who have mobility issues.

Rooms on the small side

Guests reported that the rooms were actually quite small. They were surprised that some of the rooms featured king-size beds, which made the rooms themselves look even smaller.
