The cheerfully decorated guest rooms each feature a flat-screen cable television, free Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom with complimentary toiletries and fluffy towels.

Positive Reviews

Right in the heart of the city...

Sightseers rave about the hotel's location, directly above the Jonker Street night market and steps from most of the city's best museums, historic sights, and restaurants. The Chung Wah Chicken Rice Ball across the street is very popular. Shoppers also appreciate the convenience of having two malls within a comfortable walking distance, and an H&M just a few steps away.

Clean, comfortable rooms...

Guests often comment that the rooms offer few "frills," but most are happy with the amenities considering the hotel's modest price point. The rooms and bathrooms are widely described as very clean, and the bright decor helps make up for their smallish size. Some rooms also lack windows, though these may be the most quiet. Travellers enjoy the fresh air and city views from the rooftop terrace.

Friendly, welcoming staff

The staff have received many positive reviews for their friendly customer service and smiling faces. New visitors to the area also describe the team as helpful and happy to recommend places to see or eat.

Negative Reviews

Light sleepers, take note...

Guests have noted the building is not particularly well soundproofed, and its location in the heart of the city makes it popular with night owls. Street noise can be an issue for travellers in front-facing rooms as well.

Not the breakfast of champions...

Guests often comment that the complimentary breakfast is limited to toast and various toppings. Some also find the in-room amenities too limited as well, though most keep their expectations low given the affordable rates.

Wobbly Wi-Fi...

Recent travellers have been annoyed by difficulty accessing the Wi-Fi in their rooms.
