Positive Reviews

Great location, steps from the beach

Many travellers choose the hotel for its location in 'Old' Puerto Vallarta, about five minutes on foot from the most lively stretch of its famous beach. The surrounding neighbourhood is widely described as LBGT-friendly, with many local restaurants, bars, shops, and internet cafes. Sightseers like being within walking distance of the Romantic Zone as well.

A warm welcome to Puerto Vallarta

Travellers generally describe the owners and staff as kind, hard-working, and friendly people with a genuine interest in the well-being of their guests. Guests appreciate that they communicate effectively over email before their arrival, and are easy to reach by phone when they are not on site.

Lovely gardens and old world charm

Guests are generally charmed by the older property, and in particularly by the beautiful gardens surrounding its many terraces. The guest rooms are widely described as simply furnished, yet spacious and clean. Most are equipped with a modest kitchenette. All but the top two rooms are effectively air-conditioned, though these two do offer a glimpse of the ocean.

Negative Reviews

A long climb to the top

The hotel is built into a hill, and all of the rooms are accessible only by exterior stairs. Travellers with mobility concerns or little ones do well to avoid the highest rooms.

Wi-Fi is rather unreliable

Travellers have been annoyed to find the Wi-Fi signal a bit inconsistent throughout the property.
