Positive Reviews

Old city, shopping, dining, museums, transport.

Riddargatan was found to be in walking distance of the old city, central train station, museums, great restaurants, a wide array of shopping, and convenient public transport, with a T-Bana stop one block away. That is to say, guests were very happy with the location.

Friendly reception staff, free hot drinks.

Guests generally found the staff to be courteous and helpful, if not always exceptionally friendly, and they appreciated having complimentary tea and coffee available in the dining room all day.

Tasty smorgasbord.

The breakfasts came in the form of a Swedish-style smorgasbord buffet, which people loved for its wide array of high quality and tasty fare.

Negative Reviews

Soft mattresses not universally popular.

If you happen to be a fan of firmer mattresses, then keep in mind that the beds here have been reported to be rather soft and therefore might not be up your alley.

Some street noise, especially with no A/C.

Due to the bars and restaurants on two streets adjacent to the hotel, there can be some nighttime noise from revellers, which guests found particularly bad in summer when the lack of air conditioning meant they had to keep their windows open.

Single rooms a bit small.

Those who stayed in Riddargatan’s single rooms sometimes found them to be a bit small for their liking, so even if you are travelling solo, perhaps think of upgrading.
