Positive Reviews

Contemporary Elegance.

Guests have remarked how trendy the decor looks in the guest rooms. But they also mention how appealing the other locations appear too, like the cocktail bar (Eau De Vie) and world-class, modern Chinese restaurant (Fu Manchu).

Smorgasbord Neighborhood.

Although the onsite choices are yummy, if you would like to eat or drink off-site, you'll find a multitude of choices in this neighborhood. It's an Australian foodie’s dream since the hotel is in the dining district of Sydney.

Super Helpful Staff.

Quite a few visitors mentioned how the staff went above and beyond their expectations. If any situations did need addressing, the staff at Kirketon handled it swiftly and proficiently.

Negative Reviews

Stairs Only: You'll Get Exercise.

Of course, if there's any reason why you can't climb stairs (elderly, disabled) you'll want to consider this before booking. They do offer a bellhop service though so you do have someone who will take your bags upstairs for you.

Rooms a Bit Too Cozy.

Some guests complain about the room size, stating that they are too small, even by European standards. So if you're looking for wide open spaces, chances are you may not find it here.

There Is a Bar so Expect Some Noise.

There is a cocktail bar on-site that often stays open until the early morning hours. That means things can get rather noisy, particularly on the weekends. So if sleep is vitally important to you, then you may want to book a room as far away from the night
