Nice Place on a Budget

Some guests are pleasantly surprised with the hotel and say it's a good value. Rooms are large and some offer beautiful views. The furniture isn't new but it's sturdy, in a Southwestern-style. Some rooms have private patios and guests say the place feels more like a condo-complex than hotel.

Guests say the hotel is close to all the attractions, restaurants and galleries in Taos yet far enough from the traffic in the plaza. It's a short walk to most everything you'd like to do in Taos.

Exterior Could Use Some TLC

Guests say the hotel has seen better days. There are reports of broken windows, overgrown weeds on the walkway, and exterior areas in disrepair. Guests say the place could use a handyman and some TLC and that it appears a bit neglected.

Rooms Need Rehab

Guests say rooms need attention too. Some ceilings are stained from leaks, bathtubs need scrubbing and repair, tiles are broken and fixtures don't work. The towels need to be replaced and guests say it's tough to get hot water at times.

The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast buffet but guests say it's nothing to write home about. It's served in what used to be the hotel restaurant and the space is nice, but guests complain the offerings are cold Danish and cereal.
