Modern Motel Marvel

Most guests were quite impressed with the Desert Inn Tucumcari, especially since it is considered a motel. The property is very well maintained and clean, with modern, recently-renovated rooms, lovely landscaping, and comfortable beds. In addition, guests also found the onsite facilities to be extremely convenient, especially the onsite laundry room, and the indoor pool and hot tub.

The staff at Desert Inn Tucumcari is genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They know a lot about the local area and will gladly familiarize you with it or give you recommendations on where to go. Guests with traveling pals also appreciated how welcoming the staff is to pets.

Wake-Up Call

Don't sleep through breakfast. Guests really enjoyed the morning offerings of both hot and cold dishes. Guests say there is lots of variety to choose from and everything is delicious.

Weak Wi-Fi

Though most guests didn't have any trouble, some reported having trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi, or the browsing speed being annoyingly slow when connected.

No Elevator

There is no elevator onsite, but there are only two floors. However, if stairs may be a problem for you or you don't want to lug your luggage upstairs, you may want to request a ground-floor room.

Smaller than Preferred

The rooms are well-laid out and modern, but a few guests thought they were too small, and felt a bit cramped when staying with multiple guests to one room.
