Positive Reviews

Top class facilities for a hostel

Several guests described the hostel as being more like a hotel than a hostel. The shared facilities were spotlessly clean and tidy, such as the kitchen with its high-end utensils, and the communal facilities that were found to be spacious and well-equipped. Even the Internet connection seemed to work really well in the public areas, which guests found quite convenient.

Breakfast is a highlight

The fact that you get a cooked breakfast, and it's free impressed visitors to no end. They loved the scrambled eggs on the weekend, or any variant of eggs for that matter, and felt quite lucky to be offered this quality of breakfast at a hostel. Although it was pretty simple, they said it was well-prepared and presented well.

Really comfortable beds

The high level of comfort from the beds at this hostel ensured that guests got the best possible night's sleep. They found the bedding clean and fresh, and noticed that the bunk beds were incredibly sturdy with great mattresses. The bonus was that they didn't squeak either.

Negative Reviews

A fair hike to city centre

Although the hostel is close to the ferry terminal, travellers did find it a little far from the city centre. They were not able to walk all the way, and had to use a vehicle if they wanted to get down to the CBD.

Noisy hallways

As can be expected in a hostel environment, the noise level was rather high. Visitors came and went until all hours of the morning, and often caused other guests to be disturbed during the night.
