Hotel ASTON Inn Gideon Batam (Lubuk Baja, Indonesia)

This is perhaps the things guests most like about Gideon Batam. The location is described as ideal for those who want to “shop till they drop”, and also for those who want to be a bit daring and try some great restaurants in the streets and markets surrounding the hotel.

Although guests never claimed that they received spectacular value for money, most who mentioned value were quite happy that they received what they expected, based on the room rate and star rating of the hotel.

The rooms seem to have been recently refurbished, and guests tended to like the clean, modern lines, and simple primary colours, used in the design. They definitely were not of the opinion the rooms needed an update.

Several guests mention that there were odds and ends in their room that needed a handyman to have a look at. Things like broken off fixtures, for example. Even if relatively small issues, they were unhappy that these details were not being seen to.

Although guests didn't seem to fault either the taste or quantity of food available at breakfast, quite a few were unhappy with the variety. Guests who stayed for more than a day or two would get bored very quickly.

While not universal, there were perhaps a bit too many complaints regarding cleanliness to be ignored. It was not always the same aspect that guests found fault with, but many guests found at least some thing amiss as far as cleanliness went.
