Hotel Universal Port (Osaka, Japan)

This is a hotel that's decorated with rotating themes, and is very tailored to families with children. From the film posters on the walls to the jellyfish tanks, the hotel is chock-full of things meant to delight young guests. Even so, the young at heart will be similarly enthralled.

Guests remarked that if your main purpose in the area is to explore Universal Studios and its associated diversions, this hotel makes a great base. If needed, you can purchase theme park tickets from the hotel staff. Plus, some rooms in the property face the park and offer great views.

Guests appreciated that the hotel provides sachets of bubble bath for them to enjoy. They thought those toiletries were different than what's provided at many other accommodation options, and liked being able to soak while surrounded by fluffy bubbles.

Guests were frustrated to find that there was very little programming on the television that was spoken in English. They also said it was even rare to find subtitled shows, and they thought that was strange considering how this property caters to tourists.

A significant amount of feedback from guests discussed how the beds and pillows were not as soft as guests thought they should be. They said the pillows were especially uncomfortable.

Guests said the breakfast was pricey. For the rates they paid, they wished it were included in the room costs, or at least that it wouldn't cost so much on its own.
