About Wildflower Hall, An Oberoi Resort, Shimla

Oberoi Wildflower Hall is a luxury 5-star resort set in 23 acres of forest at 2500 m altitude. The hotel is approximately a 45 minute drive from the Himalayan city of Shimla and was once the residence of Lord Kitchener, Commander in Chief of the British Army who would have been the second most important person in the city after the Viceroy. Oberoi have taken pains to retain and build upon the colonial grandeur or the building whilst introducing all the modern facilities and amenities a visitor could seek. All rooms have mountain views and benefit from design features such as teak floors and hand-knotted rugs. Rooms have telephones, mini-bars, tea and coffee making facilities, room safe, hair dryer, heating and air conditioning. There is a business centre, a beauty salon, spa, an indoor pool and a sauna and steam room. Services include concierge service, laundry and assistance with arrangements for white water rafting, horse-riding and mountain biking. The hotel has two restaurants and a bar. The main restaurant serves pan-Asian and continental dishes whilst the Lutyens' offers traditional Indian food.
