Review summary
Summarized by AI from 600+ reviews
This hotel is a great value stopover for sightseers and budget travelers, offering a clean and quiet atmosphere. Conveniently located off the Trans-Canada Highway, it provides easy access to the North Sydney ferry terminal and the scenic Cabot Trail. Each room includes practical amenities like a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker, ensuring a comfortable stay. Guests consistently praise the warm and accommodating staff, especially the owners, who offer personalized assistance and local recommendations. While the on-site restaurant offers decent dinner options like poutine and fish and chips, its inconsistent hours mean guests should be prepared to explore nearby off-site dining. For those seeking extra comfort, requesting a room away from the highway can help mitigate minor traffic noise.
