Everything is within walking distance. If you desire to stay at a place in the middle of it all in Kuching, this hotel is it.
The personnel definitely deserve five stars. From the bellboy to housekeeping, from reception to the security guards, they are all friendly and attentive.
It appears that the hotel staff takes security and privacy seriously. Each floor has a separate card for access and visitors only have access to their own floor.
You may find your view of the riverside obscured by dirty windows with green mould. A good cleaning would considerably improve your stay. In addition, the soundproofing is poor. It's as if you and other visitors are staying in the same room!
After a closer look, you will probably find that your room needs a bit of TLC. Sightings like a grimy table top, dirty bathroom walls and shower curtain, and offensive smells are a huge turn-off and a definite vacation spoiler. In addition, the soundproofing is terrible. Though the hotel location is convenient, you will be caught off guard when you realise that it is actually located inside a mall. It's also tricky getting inside the hotel if you arrive after the mall is closed as there is no direct access to the hotel from the mall car park.
