Review summary

Summarized by AI from 600+ reviews

This hotel is a tranquil historic hideaway, ideal for couples and luxury travelers seeking an authentic Japanese cultural immersion. Its location on a scenic, steep hill offers a peaceful retreat, with a convenient shuttle service bridging the gap to local attractions. The highlight of the property is its extensive onsen baths, including private, tattoo-friendly options, complemented by a unique relaxation room with massage chairs and a serene Zen room. Guests consistently praise the exceptional kindness of the staff, particularly during the multi-course kaiseki meals served in-room, which are a culinary journey. For the most authentic experience, request a room with tatami floors and futon beds to fully embrace the traditional ambiance.
